His presence was unforgettable, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

The Nankervis family is facing an unimaginable loss, and during this time, the practicalities of life continue—funeral costs, bills, and daily responsibilities can feel overwhelming. To support them, we are coming together to help ease some of this financial burden. This will allow the family to spend precious time grieving, sharing memories, and honoring Aden without the immediate pressure of returning to work.

All funds raised will go directly to the Nankervis family to ensure Aden receives the farewell he deserves. Any remaining contributions will be donated to the Black Dog Institute, an organization Aden held dear, which continues vital work in mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia and his wife shared heartbreaking news on Friday, announcing the death of their baby daughter, Sterling Sol Vesia. It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Antonio “AJ” Jewell, a cherished member of the Clarke Central High School Class of 2022. AJ tragically passed away following a shooting incident in our Athens, Georgia community last night. This is an immeasurable loss for his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. AJ was more than just a student; he was a proud Gladiator whose dedication, passion, and energy shone brightly both in the classroom and on the athletic field.

As a student-athlete, he represented Clarke Central with heart, determination, and integrity, leaving a lasting impression on coaches, teammates, and peers alike. His vibrant spirit and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him, creating memories that will endure far beyond his years. During this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his mother, Mrs. Latoya Jewell, and the entire Jewell family.

The loss of AJ leaves a void in our community, and we ask that everyone keep the family in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this unimaginable grief. AJ’s legacy as a Gladiator will never be forgotten. His courage, warmth, and the joy he brought to those around him remain a testament to the remarkable young man he was. Joe Coleman, 66, of Pana, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born March 11, 1959, in Pana, he was the son of the late Morris J. and Wilma (Overby) Coleman. Joe married Annette Riley, and they later divorced; she survives him in Pana. Joe was a dedicated entrepreneur, owning Joe Coleman & Son Environmental Services, Joe Coleman Salvage & Demolition, and Whiskey Bill’s Saloon and Liquor Emporium. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge, Eagles, Elks, Moose Lodge, and a 25-year member of the Shriners.

Known as “Papa Joe” to many, he was a generous and humble man who took great pride in his family and community. He adored his son, Zach, and his grandchildren, and he loved sharing his passion for cars. His Corvette collection and The Corvette Shed were sources of joy, and he frequently opened it for community benefits and special events.

Joe is survived by his son, Zach (Katie) Coleman; grandchildren, Clayton, Elcie, and Wyatt Coleman; special children, Bridgett, Abby, Lizey, Chad, and Levi; special grandchildren, Cayden, Kynlie, Parker, Presley, Saylor, Lenny, Lexi, Addilyn, Easton, Liv, Izzy, and Addie; sisters, Linda Paden and Debra (Lamar) Embry; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Brett “Brent” Henschen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Morrissey and Billy O. Coleman. Private family services will be held, with a Celebration of Life on Friday, November 14, at 5 p.m. at The Corvette Shed in Pana. Memorials in his honor may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children through McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.

It is with deep sadness that I share the news of Tracy Mallet’s passing in Oak Forest, IL. Tracy’s death is such a heartbreaking loss, and my heart goes out to all her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace. Though Tracy and I had our differences in the past, we were able to reconcile and mend our friendship a few years ago, and I will always be grateful for that.

I will deeply miss seeing her smiling face whenever I was out and about—it was impossible not to feel warmth and kindness in her presence.  Tracy had a way of making everyone feel valued, appreciated, and loved. Her kindness, generosity, and genuine friendship meant the world to so many, and her smile could light up any room. It feels like God keeps taking some of the best people from us far too soon, and her absence leaves a profound emptiness in our hearts.

I especially want to hold Tracy’s son, Jake, and their entire family in my thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. May they find comfort in the love of family and friends who care so deeply. Tracy, you will be forever missed. Your warmth, compassion, and friendship made a lasting impact, and your memory will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew you. Rest peacefully, Tracy. You will never be forgotten.

Richard Roddy of Waxhaw, North Carolina, and a longtime member of the Charlotte community, has passed away, leaving behind family, friends, and colleagues who admired his warmth, intelligence, and steadfast presence. Born in Littleton, North Carolina, Richard was a proud graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.

He went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, where his curiosity and analytical skills first began to shine. His talents led him to a distinguished career at Microsoft, where he served nearly two decades as a Senior Support Escalation Engineer. Colleagues recall his professionalism, humor, and unwavering dedication to helping others overcome challenges and succeed. Beyond his career, Richard was a devoted family member and loyal friend, passionate about sports, technology, and meaningful conversation.

His calm demeanor and positive outlook offered comfort and encouragement, creating lasting memories with those fortunate to know him. Richard’s passing leaves a profound gap in both his personal and professional communities. He will be remembered for his intelligence, humility, and enduring kindness—a life defined by generosity, expertise, and the ability to make every moment and connection meaningful. Boulder City Police have identified the victim in a fatal e-scooter and vehicle collision that occurred Tuesday evening. The Nevada Highway Patrol confirmed the rider as Wyatt Joseph Holiday, 22, of Las Vegas. According to investigators, the crash happened around 5:25 p.m. on Buchanan Boulevard. Holiday was riding a Superfun M1-Max 500W e-scooter southbound on the sidewalk along the northbound side of Buchanan when a 2016 red Chrysler 200 sedan attempted to make a right turn onto the same road.

As the Chrysler turned, it struck the e-scooter with its right front end, according to troopers. The impact threw Holiday from the scooter, and emergency responders were called immediately. Despite life-saving efforts, Holiday was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the driver of the Chrysler remained on-site and cooperated with investigators. No arrests or citations have been announced as of Wednesday, and the incident remains under investigation by the Nevada Highway Patrol’s Multidisciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (MIRT).

Officials are working to determine the precise factors that led to the collision, including the vehicle’s speed, lighting conditions, and the e-scooter’s path of travel. The Highway Patrol reminded both drivers and personal mobility riders to exercise caution at intersections and to remain alert for one another, particularly during evening hours. Holiday’s family has been notified. Further details, including potential contributing factors or toxicology results, will be released as the investigation continues.
